FM3 - Moulin Rouge
(pronounced Moo-lawn Roozh)

(Updated 11/16/2007)
Moulin Rouge is another cunning Chrysler Corporation color name. Named
for the Parisian cabaret/dance hall famous for its Cancan dance and immortalized by
painter Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec. The name has been brought back into the spotlight by
the summer 2001 movie of the same name. It's a rather risqué name for a big corporation
like Chrysler, but probably less so than the 1971 color Curious Yellow. It is also one of the optional High-impact colors, and as such would have cost you an extra $14.05 to order. FJ6 and FM3 were colors added during the model year (Feb. 1970). |

Due to the large number of pictures now on this site and a long layoff from updating it, I can no longer give individual credit to each picture. Though I have taken a lot of the shots myself this site would be nothing without the contributions of some of my friends. Andy Cockroft, Barry Washington, Jeff Bangert, Tom Tully, Alan Munro and Diego Rosenberg have provided me with shots. A lot of pictures were also grabbed off of the internet at places like the The Challenger T/A Registry, Transamcuda.com, The AARchives, Moparts, eBay and various muscle car dealer sites. If you would like credit for a picture that is yours please let me know and I will do so.
Thanks,
Ken Bowser
